Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002, COSHH regulations require health surveillance of employees working with substances or agents capable of causing occupationally related disease such as noise, vibration, solvents, fumes, ionising radiation, dusts, biological agents and other hazardous substances to health. Surveillance methods depend on the type of substance or agent exposed to and associated disease.

The aim of this assessment is to:

  • Comply with the requirements of COSSH and other Health and Safety legislation.
  • Reduce work-related morbidity
  • Identify work-related health problems at an early stage
  • Reduce the risks from workplace hazards by assisting with improvements in control of exposure.
