CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SERVICE

Our homes
A place designed for children and Young People:

Grace House

Grace House is Rapha Sanctuary’s first children’s residential service, providing a therapeutic home environment built on trust, structure, and compassionate care.
Grace House is located in Berkshire, it was developed in response to a clear local need: high-quality, therapeutically informed residential care that enables children to stay near the people, places, and services that matter most to them. Here, children are given the space to stabilise, connect, and grow, supported by adults who are genuinely invested in their lives.
Embedding the therapeutic model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) into daily practice, the team will create a nurturing environment where children can feel safe, valued, and supported. This isn’t just about managing behaviour—it’s about helping children grow emotionally and relationally so they can thrive.
At Grace House, we are dedicated to cultivating a nurturing, family-oriented atmosphere where every child can flourish. We strive to provide the consistency and care essential for children to move beyond their past difficulties and create a brighter tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire each child to achieve their highest potential and equip them for a successful adult life.
We design our homes to be cozy, modern, and welcoming, truly embodying the feeling of home. The house is thoughtfully crafted to address the individual needs of the children living there, providing a secure and stimulating environment. Children are encouraged to make their bedrooms their own and take part in decisions regarding the shared living areas, fostering a deep sense of community and ownership.

Core Features and Therapeutic Offer

○ Therapeutic Care Model: A nurturing environment that promotes healing through consistent, relationship-based care.
○ Tailored Support: Individualised care plans for children with emotional and behavioural needs.
○ Sensory Room: A calming, purpose-designed space that supports emotional regulation and sensory integration.
○ Stable, Trauma-Informed Team: A dedicated, 24/7 care team trained in trauma-informed practice and the PACE model to promote safety, reduce conflict, and support emotional well-being.
We place great value on routines, positive reinforcement, participation, and meaningful opportunities to play, create, and belong. Children are encouraged to set personal goals, explore their interests, and develop practical life skills, always with a voice in the decisions that shape their experience.
What sets Grace House apart is an unwavering belief that care should never feel clinical; it should feel like home, and that outcomes are not measured only in reports but in the eyes of a child who finally feels safe enough to hope.
Grace House is more than a care home. It’s the beginning of healing, of hope, and of the many brighter futures we are committed to building.

Our trained staff understand the roots of distress and provide tailored support that helps children and young people regulate, reflect, and rebuild. Working closely with families and professionals, we deliver evidence‑based care, personalised behaviour support, and independence pathways that meet emotional, physical, social, and educational needs. With empathy and stability at the heart of our practice, Grace House offers a family‑like setting where young people can heal, grow, rebuild, and prepare for successful reintegration into the community.
